I have been having trouble uploading images here. The last several uploads were very difficult. I had to upload to pictures already on the web and those images are huge compared to my usual, direct from my computer uploads. Now, however, I can't get blogspot to let me upload anything. I am not sure what is going on. I have tried deleting some of my older posts in case there was a problem with how much space I have used. That didn't help. Hopefully, this problem will be resolved. My Grandfather - Authentic Mainer

My grandfather's family were among the first European settlers to settle the coast of Maine. They had a charter from France to what is now Franklin and Sullivan, Maine. Anyway, he carved gravestones by hand out of the granite he quarried from his own Quarry. I think I look like him a bit. Anyway, I have deep roots in Maine which is where I am headed for the summer.

My husband helped me cut out the butterflies. Very sweet of him actually. He came to visit me in my studio and stayed to help me cut things out. He thought one of the abstracts needed something. I thought the butterflies would remind me of the day we sat on the floor together like two kids with scizzors and glue. :))
